Lack of LTβR Increases Susceptibility of IPEC-J2 Cells to Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus
Journal: China (2018)
Institution: Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences
Research Areas: Cell research
Cell Lines: IPEC-J2 (IPEC-J2 are intestinal porcine enterocyte cell line)
Summary: T. Altawaty with colleagues has investigated LTbR receptor role in maintaining the cellular functions of IPEC-J2 cell line, during porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) infection. Authors have shown that LTbR plays a key role during cellular response to PEDV infection. In this study, HoloMonitor M4 was used to study cell morphology (cell volume and area) changes for 72 hours and helped authors to conclude that the lack of LTbR receptors leads to cell apoptosis. Holomonitor M4 was used to study cell apoptosis
